Prayer- Give Us Our Daily Bread

"This is how you should pray: Our Father in Heaven....Give us this day our daily bread."

How do you feel about that line?

Comforted that the God of all people would take time to listen to our needs?

Humbled to have to ask for help?

Challenged at the thought of separating your "wants" and "needs"?

Something else?

What does "daily bread" look like for you right now?

How could we join you in praying for the things you really need?

What was so hard for me on Sunday was knowing how badly I want to be able to bless people financially (like Shawn's friend in his story), but knowing that this is not the season for us to be able to do so. It's hard to have your heart in the right place, but not have the means necessary to help. It breaks me up.

Right now, we're recovering from all of the expenses of moving and transitional issues (like needing a new roof). We are having trouble making ends meet. So, if you could pray that I (Michelle) would be able to find a part-time job that would help with the family budget, that'd be great.
